Bush is already proven wrong on Iraq. It's hard to imagine anyone being more wrong. Baker-Hamilton will next weigh in and try to give both sides a compromise position, but Bush-Cheney are going to have to quit saying stay the course and quit lying. They have to admit they were wrong. That is going to be hard for them to swallow, but they must.

In reality, "cut and run" never existed as an idea. Careful redeployment however remains one of the ideas on the table. Bottomline though Bush has messed up so badly there are only lesser evil scenarios, no good ones.
