Ford and Obama are on the cutting edge. There is still just enough racism in the country to hold leaders like them back, at least nationally and in the south. But that is changing., Ford came within 2% of winning despite an onslaught of racist ads by the GOP. Tennessee has only 15% black population, but Tenn voters have some soul-searching to do now. They clearly elected the inferior candidate. I would also encourage Michael Steele to switch parties. He is a good candidate and could win as a democrat. But blacks will just not vote GOP. That GOP experiment failed. Blackwell and Swann got creamed. Because Ford was unable to win, Obama will probably wait to run for president for about 8 years. It's what I've been predicting. Webb and Tester are going to win, no doubt, so the senate also falls into more responsible hands. It will just take a little time to be official.
