Speaking of grey areas... is there anything to prevent timing of buybacks to support coincident insider sales?

I agree with you and hte law on single event or choice events where the CFO will trigger a buyback on command. But a blind buyback setup on a daily, weekly or monthly basis wherer they buy back $10M a week without fail (dollar cost averaging), then they would not be in violation at all.

I computed it and if they put 5% of their yearly royalty dollars back into stock, they would be private in 6 years. EPS would grow by 1000 and the share price would become like BRK.

Would also get rid of the hedge fund floaters they fight so regularly now.
