I went to blarney castle and kilkenny

kilkenny is all redone, very top notch

not blarney - only a monster sized tower remaining - it is in partial ruins, all over grown 0 inside there are rooms and passages, tiny windows, walls 8 feet thick - one great hall area had a old fireplace off the floor bout 15 feet - I think there must have been another level that caved in?

went into the dukes room - vaulted ceiling, dark, 2 tiny windows - all stone, cold and damp - stairs going up, then a narrow winding staircase going higher to the tower area

if that is how a duke lived, can't imagine the digs of an average guy

I was shown a 400 year old wine cellar in an estate - was zactly how you think a wine cellar should look - huge slate stoned floor, arches and vaulted ceilings made of brick - lil wine nookies every where - wrought iron oil burning chained lights every where

they have wines in it too along with the cobwebs

can we say picture perfect?
