One thing this election shows is that absolute power still corrupts absolutely. We need to reachieve the checks and balances of previous administrations.

If the election forces Bush to acknowledge that fallacy of 'stay the course', it will be a huge step in the right direction. The time of failure with no consequence is over. Our leaders need to be held accountable for their failures.
