I remember that. Used to have arguments with a friend of mine back then - his point was that all the advances with the horizontal drilling etc. creates an abundance of oil. He was right - but it is also true that we may have simply become very good at retrieving - and using up - what in effect may be a limited supply. So - we may have had a temporary abundance in the midst of an approaching scarcity.
