A new study performed by two french companies of 1,285,000 computers
running in more than 1,000 companies in 7 European countries found that,
on average, 8% of computers running Windows required a reboot during a
typical session lasting 2 hours and 15 minutes. The failure rate
varied depending on the version of Windows being used:

Windows version Failure Rate Observed

Windows NT4 3%
Windows 2000 4%
Windows XP 12%

OS/2 0.3% (estimated)

So much for improving Windows
