... and no, I'm not kidding. My current bet is that the U.S. will eventually Balkanize Iraq, redeploy to the new Kurdistan and Kuwait, and allow the Shias and Sunnis to have at it. A few years of that, and a few million dead, will create conditions for some sort of unified country to develop. Its a Murtha-like approach, and frankly I see few other workable options.
