Well, I've never been to the middle east, but I have extensive experience in central and southern Africa. In economies dominated by resource scarcity, all politics is tribal, the tribe is far more important than the nation, and there is little tolerance for others. It doesn't seem to be any better in Iraq, and the chance of getting there in less than a generation are slim to none. Wish it would happen, but my Daddy taught me not to wish my life away.
