"I think these guys will be behind the curtain, pulling the strings of the puppets." I think they would prefer that. But they may feel they need to send a message to the rest of the world. It looks like Cheney and crew are going to be marginalized. I don't think Cheney will find that acceptable, he has systematically neutralized everyone else who has had even the smallest amount of influence. So it is very likely he will resign. So who takes his place? Condi?
