Here is a worthy read as to why and how we got here and where we'll go from now on. It is a long but good read (which is another way of saying I agree with it <vbg>) The main message is one that should be familiar to most: The military-industrial complex will not let go of its money and power even if it means destroying the republic and the world with it.
