In fact this kind of paranoia is good IMO. It's too easy for people to get complacent (which is what gave us Bush after the flush Clinton years) and allow fascism to take hold slowly but surely. As much as Iraq and scandals and loss of manufacturing jobs and frightening economic outlooks galvanize people, I hope that people really get how close we've come (and will come in the future) to losing the foundation of this country. It's good to be paranoid when they're sneaking up behind you. :)
