It never was the case......all that cocky bravado that Bush and Rove were showing those last days was just that bravado. Their internal polls were telling them the say thing......Bush's running around the country was an act of desperation. They knew they were going down. It was the media trying to make things interesting and reminding us that Rove was this genius political strategist who had the capability to pull it out of the fire.....that's what made me uncertain. Rove is good.....no question about it......but he also lucked out.....being in the right place at the right time. He also lucked out because it took Americans so long to wake up to the truth......in fact, too long. Americans have got to stop being so trusting. We came a little too close to losing it all.......and we still might.
