What she is actually saying is this wasn't quite as bad as Watergate... Its why they never learn from their mistakes. If, in fact, you spin it out so that its not such a big deal, and that in fact, its pretty typical......you never have to deal with the reality of the failure. I think its fairly normal for a lot of people. Republicans seem to be particularly susceptible.
