Not so. If I owned a business worth 3.7 mil, and let's say it generates income, then the tax assessed would only be on the POINT TWO, over and above the 3.5 base. So the estate tax would be on 200k, and from the money generated by the co, then they'd pay. Or they could sell the co for 3.5 without any tax consequence. Got it?
