If you look at the makeup of the two parties overall, you will find that there are more minorities represented within the Democratic party. Individual cases can't change that.

That having been said, I applaud Bush for his record in appointing minorities to important positions. It's all the more impressive because he has a much smaller pool of minority candidates to draw from than a Democratic President would have.
