>>>So you've flown the oilsands coop altogether ?<<<

By no means. My COS.UN position is at such a low basis that even paying 15% capital gains I don't want out. And if they don't get bought out by, say, Exxon, they will be increasing distributions, possibly tripling them in a few years.

I am, however, very sore at Flaherty et. al. because I thought I had settled into a quiet, conservative, income-collecting position with the COS and my AOG.UN. AOG will go on paying out, but the value has dropped by about 30% or more because of the perfidy of the Conservatives. The yield must be up to about 16% (have not looked today). And if natural gas keeps spiking the payouts will increase for the next four years.

Also, I read that the Conservatives have lost a large part of their constiuency--epseically a voting part--in the last week. Maybe not, but I hope so.
