You are probably right abou the indy number, but regardless of their size, they will carry the day in 08. And that is the best thing that could happen! The idea that either party could win without bringing that group along (or that group feeling that the other party had rejected their concerns) was very dangerous. Hooray for the middle....let's see both parties try to secure them by actualy dealing with their issues of concern and not just giving it lip service while playing to the edges of the political spectrum.
