Indian American aerospace engineer faces death penalty or life imprisonment.

Sudhir Chadda
Nov. 10, 2006

He worked 18 years for Northrop Corp. Under security clearance he helped designing the B2 -2 stealth bomber's propulsion system. He had the technology to design the stealth in an exhaust system nozzle that protects a cruise missile from detection. Gowadia, a naturalized American citizen from India according to allegations and charges traded all that for money and material gain.

His original 2005 original charge for selling information involving the B-2 aircraft to three unnamed countries has now been upgraded. He visited China several times. He is charged with sharing with China super secret Military Technology of America.

He now faces death penalty or life imprisonment. This is a case of greed and where greed can take people. With top security clearance the Government trusts a citizen and depends on his or her patriotism. And like in many other case people betray that trust for money and apparent power from wealth.
