I saw that article as well. Krugman is way too ideological for me, even more so than Krauthammer, and I hope he's wrong about that far less moderate majority now in the Dems, or rather, I hope that the Dems don't abuse that shift to the NE Dem. I don't believe that the country is embracing that at all. I think the Great Revulsion is much more narrowly focused and that there's still a very strong conservative population who won't want to see a lot of liberal changes. They are furious with Bush and what he has done to their party. The corruption runs deep, and the Dems are beginning to sound as if they believe their own rhetoric that hypocrisy is found only on the Rep side of the aisle.
The people were sending ALL of the sitting congress a message, imo.
