"Displayed poor coordination, maybe even incompetence yes, displayed the attitude "Ow well, sucks for them", no." Well, they displayed zero lack of urgency for four days. Bush was off on a photo op with a guitar while New Orleans was filling up with water, and much of that part of the Gulf Coast had just been vacuumed off the face of the map. That sort of nonchalance in the face of disaster comes off very much as "Oh well, sucks for them". Now true, Dubya was on vacation and why cut it short? After all, it wasn't nearly as important as Schiavo where he did cut his vacation short... To me, the priorities seem a bit whacked. But, I guess that is why I am not president.
