Sure. But you need a LEADER That's the big lesson I take out of the last 6 years. Without two "strongmen" in a Party, Congress is rudderless. Reps and Senators will run amok without a strong whip held over them. I think if Lott and Delay stayed in office we would've had a different Congress. Without strong personalities like that to hold to a course the Republicans aren't going to do any better in the future.

You don't think Newt can do that? I see no one comparable in either party. Just a bunch of narcissists, especially in the Democrat party. Will Newt have any chance in forming the 08 platform ? Sure. But you need a LEADER.

AQ re declared war on us today {White House and Jerusalem must be destroyed} and the Iranian mullah called us a bunch of pansy's as well. The unity that existed on 9/12 has evaporated, thanks to the left and the media blitz AQ has successfully executed, and we are back to partisan bickering. So President Bush is a fear monger.... how many Americans need to be wiped out before reality sets in ?
