It's pretty hard to challenge Bolton's resume in the job since he was appointed over a year ago.

That's the point, Gem. It isn't up to them to propose who whould be the US rep in the UN. That's the prez's job, and he should have someone who will support HIS policies, not the congress's policies. The only reason a prez's appointee should be refused (other than judges) is for specific reasons that would disqualify the person for the job.
