Let the games begin.

I once met an unscrupulous builder who would walk the buyer through the house when he had the foundation and framing done. He would listen to the concerns of the buyer until he discovered THE BIG ISSUE

It might have been how big the hole was for the basement toilet or the finish on the cabinets or something. Once he knew what THE BIG ISSUE was, he would walk the buyer to that spot (unfinished) every time the buyer showed up to see how things were going. He would engage the buyer in long conversations about the big issue each time but never quite get the thing worked out until the very end. In the mean time he would cut all kinds of corners on other stuff and when the house was done he would make sure the buyer was totally satisfied with the big issue.

That is why I wouldn't like to see conservatives focused too much on one or two BIG ISSUES. They could get duped into wasting a lot of energy and making sacrifices on other stuff that us common folk care a lot about, just to keep their faces in front of the media.
