I wish I still had that trunk full of Marine Corps stuff, medals, navigation material, etc. I wore his Boondockers. They were the combat boots of the day, made with the smooth side of the leather on the inside and the rough outside. Of course, the DIs made the Boots spit shine the rough side. The pair I had was still rough outside, and I wore them out. I do have a couple of olive green woolen blankets with USMC embroidered on them. I take them to elk camp with me when I go.
