The thing with Hastings is that HIS voters forgave him and elected him. And then re-elected him, over and over. The Republicans will try to beat the Dems over the head with him. The Dems would do well to marginalize him, and make him as little of an issue as possible. They should also put the word out that "pork is OVER" and any scandal will cause you to be immediately disavowed and thrown to the wolves. The Repugnican hate machine of personal destruction will be dusted off from the Clinton years, wheeled our and put in motion again. You can bet on it.
