It may be a bit early to start blaming the mess in Iraq on the Dems just yet. I mean you linked to a story about Iraq getting blown up - what else is new?

I think there is a 50 - 50 chance that the Dems implement the recommendations of the Baker commission. That could involve increasing troop strength and the Dems might buy into it if its only for a short time.

The Dems promised a change in course on Iraq which may include withdrawal.

The staus quo wasn't working and Bush and Rumsfeld might as well have banged their heads against the wall for all the good their policy was accomplishing.

"Here's how the terrorists stay the course and won"

WHICH 'terrorists', the Sunnis or the Shiites?

And... if they are busy fighting and killing EACH OTHER in a bloody and thorough-going civil war in Iraq the next couple of years... then what makes you think they will 'win' ANYTHING?
