Joy, I have read that they do some sort of voting, so there is some sort of variation made by voters. I have no idea who is allowed to vote, but it will be adult males at least. Maybe even women too, though democracies still claim to be democracies when women and the melanin-rich can't vote and when constitutionally, people can vote to take OPM. It is in living memory that people without a Y chromosome were not allowed to vote in the USA.

I am not suggesting that Iran is more democratic than the USA was not long ago, but it might be. For all I know.

Correct, I do not know that they do not vote. It is a known unknown for me. It's a discernible reality in my reality-based aspects, but I haven't discerned it yet. Which isn't to say I shouldn't advocate nuking Tehran's President just because of that minor known unknown. He's out to kill infidels and impose Islamic Jihad on me, so he needs to be stopped.
