Let me recommend a book: quantum Evolution by John Joe McFadden. He is a molecular biologist who teaches in Surrey England.

He knows how to write an interesting book and is very good at explaining things. He also goes into things like what are the hottest and coldest temperatures life can exist at etc.

But the two main subjects he explains are very interesting:

1) he explains quantum physics better than anyone I have ever read.

2) he theorizes that evolution starts in the quantum wave state. One of the primary arguments the "creationists", always give for there needing to be a god is the difficulty of lining up 39 peptides randomly into a self replicating molecule. If life starts in the quantum wave state, then that becomes a moot argument. It would be a piece of cake to line up enough peptides into a self replicating molecule.

And he points out that every time life was wiped out by large astroid hitting earth and engulfing it into a worldwide fireball, as soon as the earth was hospitable for life again it would bounce right back.

He thinks life abounds in the universe. I think not only is life pervasive thoughout the univers, but intelligent life is an integral part of our universe.

John Wheeler is working on existence itself. I ahve a hunch we will one day find out thought itself itself is very powerful and integrated into quantum physics----soemhow?
