coach clappy-

Had we done some of the substitutions differently, perhaps we would have the the right kids in the proper spots.

i know its hard, but don't second guess
yourself on this one.

the kids got as far as they
did because of their coaches.

tonight will be a celebration of
what you have achieved which is
fantastic - not a time to ponder
what ifs.

enjoy it and them.

<What a great group we have. I'll miss seeing these kids each week.>

A few thoughts from an old friend and old coach:

this kind of thing happens - even to the great teams

the kids left it all on the field and that's the important thing.

heat of battle decisions are made - some work some don't.

the kids will be saying good things about being on this team

the kids have learned important lessons being on this team

sometimes we learn even more when we fail

and yeah, it does suck, the kids know it and the coach knows it...that's why they call it a team.

the majority of time this season was hard earned good fortune - that's why you were in the playoffs.

So, go to the banquet and do what coaches do - tell them you are so proud of them, you love them all, and it was a privilege to be their coach.

Hang in there coach - it was a great run.

Coach Clap,

First off, congratulations. Your kids played their hearts out, left everything they had on the field, and should feel good about that. The same goes for the coaches.

I'm guessing that you didn't ride the kids when a mistake was made; don't ride yourself either. Besides, I'm guessing that you're being too hard on yourself.

Your players will look to you for the "correct" way to respond. Tell them you're proud of them and that you wouldn't change a thing they did.

Finally, thank the parents for allowing you the privilege of coaching their kids. Parents eat that up, and I bet you feel that way as well. I always do at the end of a season. It is amazing the attachments we can develop toward our players.

Keep your head high; you've allowed a group of young men to experience things that will be positive memories for them when they're our age, and hopefully they will do the same for their kids.

All just my opinion; good for you for putting your heart into making the lives of some kids more enjoyable.

Coach...

It's obvious you did a great job with the kids this season, and I'm sure they had a great time playing for you. The season was a success, I'm sure they learned all kinds of valuable lessons from you, and they will always remember it that way.

I hope you all have a great party tonight, everyone deserves it.

Congrats,

scott

YOu are a fierce competiter so tonight's loss hurts. But in ten years you and all the kids will look back and cherish the memories of this year.

I am sure you are all better people for the experience together.

Life is full of things that need to be placed in perspective. Just think of the wonderful lessons your kids have learned.

Yeah coach!!
