so you aren't inclusive, Shuler is a born again and anti abortion, how soon before you call him a benedict Arnold??

You mean the ex quarterback. He was one of the conservative candidates whose background I checked out before the elections. With the exception of abortion, I am pretty much agree with his stance on most issues. There is also Iraq. He wants to change direction in Iraq but would like to win before bringing the troops home. However, he sounds flexible and I think he will change his position in time. With everything else, we align perfectly.......education, immigration, the environment, renewable energy, healthcare etc. As for abortion, I think S. Dakota's vote this election suggests that we find a middle ground on that issue......because I don't think abortion is going to go away anytime soon.

Aside from the issues, I think Schuler is a pretty good guy. He graduated with honors from high school. Did real well at UT both academically and in football. Got his masters in psych. I would feel very comfortable having him represent me. Same with Testor....another one whose background I checked out. Same with Scott Kleeb....he didn't win but I liked what he represented even if he was a conservative.. Pretty much every guy I looked at was pretty cool.

Its the neocons, and the radical, fire and brimstone conservatives that bother me.......not plain ole conservatives. I have my differences with them but they are not insurmountable like they are with the others.
