I agree very much, with most of what you post EC. But there is one variable which trumps all others : the mind playing tricks and creating illusions on ones thinking.

When I was young, I thought up an equation which will work even better with your idea.

I felt if one multiplies (using .01 to 1) native ability, X education X sanity you could get an idea of ones thinking. 1 for intelligence and 1 for education and .01 for sanity provides a low score. .5 X .5 X .5 provides a much better score.

But adding the variable of investigator bias would certainly be important i.e. how much is one in a dogmatic box to one degree or another and what kind of box would certainly improve the equation.

I did not understand how powerful brain washing was when I was young, so I did not include it in the equation.

I was born and raised in califrona to a non religous family and just sort of put out in the sun to grow however I figured stuff out. Pretty much tabla rasa fro me when I was young.

I do not think anyone ever really accused me of being in a box. Nuts, but not a box -lol.

I read a zillion biographies when I was young EC. And I found out everyone is nuts to some degree or another (took a lot fo pressure off of me-lol). I am actully surprised we have done as well as we have, we humans,---and a democracy no less.

I think for every person who persues an understanding of theri existence, the blind spot of insanity, is the big stumbling block. It is like dark mattter. We cannot see it and we do not understand it, but we see it effects.

Very astute and accurate, however many or most people prefer to have others think for them. For the most part they are consumed by their personal needs, or dare I say wants, to lend themselves to the broader issues. Think? Who me?
