LBJ was more anti-communist than Kennedy. Killing Kennedy would have absolutely no purpose whatsoever. Besides, no communist government had enough agents inside the US to perpetrate this crime and its massive coverup. Unless you believe Oswald was a Soviet agent (which I suppose is possible) and the "lone nut" theory holds (very unlikely). Hoover had plenty of incentive to kill Kennedy, whether he had dirt on him or not. The Kennedys both wanted Hoover out. They also were way too liberal for the rightwing Cold War black ops CIA types. And the Kennedys vowed to wipe out the mob. Those three together, having worked together before in Cuba, were natural partners. And they are the ONLY group with the means, opportunity and motive. Commies didn't have the means. They had no control over US law enforcement at all, and some control was needed in order to engineer the coverups, killing of Oswald and pointed silencing of other witnesses. We will probably never know the real truth, but common sense says the lone nut theory is unlikely. Oswald was not a crack marksman so he would have had to be very lucky, and a lot more. I would believe however that Oswald was part of the plot and one of the shooters. But he definitely had a powerful, shadwy group behind him, a group which was able to get a mafia character Ruby to assassinate him right away so Oswald could never talk, then to queer any real investigation into the assassination and promote Oswald as the lone culprit.
