People should not be afraid of opinion (even if ill-conceived). The whole point of a rational and free society is to let everything stand on merit and everything be challengeable. Difference of opinion creates uncertainty which leads to thought and reconsideration (or perhaps just consideration! <g>)). We have seen (for instance,on the view from the left thread) how sycophancy and toadyism contribute absolutely NOTHING! Let us suffer fools gladly then, in order to confirm what we know--or challenge us to at least think! :-)
