Bush is desperately trying to pin Iraq on anything that doesn't move fast enough:

- The U.S. Military, particularly the commanders on the ground. This would also be satisfying for Rumsfeld who never respected the professional military in the first place.

- Daddy and Friends. Once the Baker Iraq Study Group opens its mouth with definitive ideas, Bush can blame them for anything that goes awry.

- The Iraqis. Always a good target especially since they're usually hiding in their houses and away from the media.

- The Dems especially John Kerry. He could start picking on Pelosi and Clinton but that may look like beating up on women to what remains of his rightwing freakshow base.

- Us. The American Public. The rightwingers are already out in force saying that the American Public is weak, flaccid, has no stomach for the fight. This kind of biting the hand that feeds you may help make Republicans the tiny, regional, freakshow party that it deserves to be.
