I wonder if Rove's smear machine will re-surface. It would be great if Rove's machine has been destroyed and never comes back. The fact that it didn't work this time, in fact it backfired may have been its death knell. I think everyone can see that except in Tennessee with the racist ad against Ford, that the rightwing smears actually helped democrats win. Especially Limbaugh mocking Michael J. Fox. The smears against Kerry for his botched joke may also have backfired, reminding people of Iraq and how badly Bush botched it.
