The rightwing is ignorant and dishonest about stem cells. Few of them even know what stem cells are. The rightwing Reverend Haggard types have been preaching that stem cells = cloning and murder of babies. That is absolutely false and has no basis in fact whatsoever. If rightwing Christians knew the facts, they would all support stem cell research. The problem is that the science itself is so difficult to understand, and the cures are speculative, not yet proven. PS: If Haggard lies about who he is and what he does behind closed doors, why should anyone believe him on stem cells or anything else? Also, it's time to expose the entire religious right as a big con game, a machine to rip off and fleece its gullible flock. I used to date Oral Roberts Treasurer's daughter and she told me everything. It's all a big scam, and they're all hypocrites after the tax-free money. They're not even real christians. Very few of them anyway.
