"You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small"

We've seen this several times over the past couple of weeks. As jokes go, it isn't bad, but plays to stereotypes that aren't even close. I especially object to the portrayal of Southerners. Anybody who would unload 2 clips into an attacker shows a great deal of inexperience handling firearms. You take a couple of shots and then see if he goes down. If he doesn't try again. Just blindly firing away is going to get more people killed than the attacker. Anybody who can get a tight grouping with a handgun at any range, including point blank, would know that.

And the daughter wouldn't have to ask about hollow points, that many shots in a tight grouping with .40 caliber hollow points wouldn't have left anything but hamburger.

For the record, I don't own a firearm and never have.

What do you do?

Republican's Answer:

BANG!

etc...

Humor, but the same old tired crap at the end of the day. Just remember vietnam...democratic "shoot then aim" followed by republican "cut and run" (or Clinton's version, "stop and think"...or another way of saying it, "don't be stupid").

Al

Newt in ‘94 vowed to investigate Clinton for 2 years as his platform

newt-94.jpg C&L brings you this CBS/NBC report from 1994. Gingrich went nuts over Clinton and his new-found subpoena power, yet if Democrats want to hold hearings on oversight and Iraq war profiteering that's supposed to hurt them.

Gingrich: I do not know of any administration in modern times with as many different potential scandals all around it.

Notice Newt's close ties to lobbyists…What other info sticks out for you?
