Why don't you read the New Testament? Jesus Christ's teachings, which plainly say to love thy neighbor, forgive, be tolerant, separate allegiance to God and Caesar, give to the poor, don't be greedy, be good shepherds of God's natural world and bless the peacemakers not the war-mongers. None of the above has been stressed by the Bushie religious right, in fact usually just the opposite. Jesus also never said a thing about hating gays, Muslims, Mexicans or taking away womens reproductive rights. He never said human life starts at conception. He never said fetal tissue (stem cells) is human life. In fact Jesus was very compassionate with sexually libertine women like Mary Magdalene who was (some say) a prostitute. Unless you believe the Da Vinci Code. In short, Jesus was a towe of compassion and tolerance. He wanted peace and love in the world, not war and intolerance.
