There is no such thing as the liberal corporate media.

The New York Times is not the worst of the lot by far, but they like most other news organizations are just pumping out more or less the same derivative stuff. One news item comes along and every newspaper reports it.

This actually goes quite far back, well before the present day, when newspapers found that it was preferable to steer clear of things that were really controversial in order to increase their market. Controversy never sells as well as pablum.

Very serious harm was done by RayGun, by getting rid of the Fairness Doctrine for example. That's one reason garbage like Fox Fictional News is possible.
