Sean Hannity busy lying/misrepresenting reality today

Here are a few of his whoppers:

- Democrats are cutting and running. Actually we're waiting to see if the Baker Commission has a reasonable proposal, and it is Bush not democrats who will decide if we stay or go. Hannity lied.

- Democrats will raise taxes on everyone from $60,000 per year up. That's a lie. Dems are on record as saying they wont raise middleclass ntaxes. The usual figure for the "rich" is $200,000 and up, but most on those making over $500,000 per year.

- Sean said the economy of booming, growth huge. Actually growth is way down, to about 1.4% per annum. And much of the prior growth was defivcit war spending.

- Sean said Dems will defend civil rights of terrorists. It's called Habeus corpus and it's a big part of the Constitution. The problem with Bush's policy is that he and only he decides who a "terrorist" is and there are no checks and balances so he could literally put anyone he wants away permanently without a trial, and torture them. That's un-American.

- Sean said Bush has solved the deficits problem. Not at all true. Bush's deficits are a bit smaller than feared, but he never counts war costs so add an extra 100 billion per year onto the WH figures. All in all if Bush gets his way we will have an extra 10+ trillion in new debt by 2010.
