"They didn't impose term limits."

Refresh my memory. Was Washington a Founding Father? Adams? etc.!

And Washington served 5 terms as President only giving up the reins of power when they pried them from his dead hands?

You are wrong. The Founding Fathers expressed a desire for term limits and expected that moral people would impose them on themselves. They do, but we have instead the slime of the earth serving in both parties for as near to life as they can.

"I think that term limits will have a small positive effect on it, possibly even a moderate positive effect on it, but not a major positive effect."

Even a mild positive effect would be a huge improvement.

"Because of those three things I used to be an opponent of any type of term limit. "

I am sorry you disagree with our Founding Fathers and with me.
