While Sirius is satellite-based and uses radio signals to communicate to people on the ground, I can't see many parallels. I don't know anything about Sirius and their management, so don't know how their problems might be similar to Globalstar's.

I wouldn't say Globalstar has little good news. New handsets with much better design is pretty good news. A successful IPO is good news [albeit with a post-issue decline in share price]. ATC approval was good news. Satellites exceeding their design life is good news [those which haven't already died].
