Who's to say where we continue and where we stop?

That's exactly why we need an unambiguous line so each individual issue doesn't have to be debated. This side of the line, we debate; that side, there's no debate and we don't do it.

Most people are saying a fertilized embryo is a potential human being, and therefore off limits for experimentation.

I sure am glad we got the bomb before the Japanese and the Germans. If we hadn't got the bomb first, they would have used it on us, but without the Marshall Plan or McArthur's reconstruction of Japan. If we hadn't used the bomb at all, my father would have been involved in the invasion of Japan, and probably would have perished. That did not happen, thus I can debate issues like this with you.

That doesn't mean I love the bomb like Dr. Strangelove.
