Nov 14, 2006 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) --

Aldershot Resources Ltd (TSX-V: ALZ) is a Canadian based mining company whose primary focus is uranium in the regions of Quebec, Australia, and Zambia. Some of these projects include; Yuinmery, Turee Creek, and Northern Territory. Shareholders were elated to see their company value rise 5.56% Monday with 43,000 shares exchanging hands before the sound of the closing bell. Altershot recently announced that they have completed exploring the Kert property in Quebec. To find out why our client base continues to grow, come explore www.pinnacledigest.com.

Located about 480km northeast of Perth, is the Yuinmery uranium project. This project is defined by Exploration Licence E57/593 and is found within the Yilgarn Province of Western Australia. Granted on 14 October 2005, this license is 100% owned by Aldershot and covers 99km 2.

During 2006, after compilation of the historical data, Aldershot Resources Ltd. planned to undertake an airborne radiometric-magnetic survey and drill test the known mineralization to confirm the historical results and look for extensions. To date the data has been compiled, an airborne survey designed and put out for tender. Drill testing is subject to obtaining clearances as the area is marked as a sacred site. Clearances must be undertaken and permission granted before any drilling can commence. The traditional owners are currently being contacted to arrange site visits.

In sector news, uranium continues to be a hot commodity as hedge funds are increasingly adding this resource to their investment portfolios. The steady move towards nuclear energy has been occurring since 2001 when the spot price for uranium was under $10. "We're in a historic uranium shortage," said James Passin, who manages $580 million at New York-based Firebird Management and began buying shares of uranium producers five years ago. "We're in a global nuclear revival." The questions that need answers are: why is supply so dry? And where is this increasing demand coming from?

Sparton holds shares of Santoy....

Sparton Resources Inc (SRI - TSX Venture Exchange) is a diversified mineral and energy royalty company which has been an active participant in the Canadian junior resource sector for over 20 years.

Sparton focuses on the acquisition and development of projects and properties with readily identifiable mineral occurrences that require either advanced exploration or technical research and development to bring them to a higher level of in-situ value. Sparton's strategy is to greatly increase shareholder value by bringing these projects to full feasibility evaluation or, with partners, into commercial production.

Sparton's precious metal portfolio concentrates on exploration in proven producing areas in China, Nevada (USA), and Mexico and avoids high risk grassroots programs. In China, Sparton's Chinese Joint Venture Company along with its partner is actively exploring a 250 sq. km. exploration licence area along a 45 km long zone covering most of the Luxi Gold Belt.

Sparton's early stage Luxi Gold Project in Yunnan Province have proven the potential for this project area, to contain significant additional gold resources in a recognized ‘Carlin Nevada style' geological environment with ongoing local gold production. A minimum possible deposit size of 320,000 oz. gold has been reported from one of 5 key areas on the 250 sq. km property.

Its energy related assets include a minority interest (with major partners ExxonMobil and Shell) in the undeveloped Chebucto natural gas field in offshore Eastern Canada and a production royalty on the Blizzard uranium deposit in British Columbia and a large equity interest in Santoy Resources Ltd. which now owns a share of this deposit.

Also in the energy sector, Sparton has spearheaded the evaluation of non-conventional sources for uranium in China and other markets and plans to develop into a royalty holder for its energy asset portfolio. In China, Sparton has established an agreement with the Chinese state organization responsible for all nuclear related issues to identify non conventional uranium resources that country. Sparton will provide technical and commercial expertise for uranium extraction and intends to negotiate future strategic alliances with international consumers of nuclear fuel.

Sparton operates selectively, targeting projects with high technical potential as they arise. It is managed by a seasoned board of directors comprised of mining industry professionals with a successful track record of mineral resource discovery, development and production. The Company has no debt, over $600,000 in capital assets (mainly drilling equipment) in China. ,

Exploration continues in 2006 on its key properties.
