w/o posting links I am catching two flavors ...

(a) Canada's *regret* with hanging too tight with USA
and thereby forcing China to goto other areas to
get the minerals they need ...

(b) China making strong showing in Africa ... preparing
to spending billions ... I just don't understand *where*
the minerals *are* in Africa

That is a sad story really. A story of totally failed diplomacy the few years or decades. It usually does not work but a period of isolationism may be what we need to learn.
