If I am right about my analysis, there should be plenty of opportunities to play GOLD as it swings back & forth in the channel between $65 & $55 using your favourite oscillator

FWIW, both ABX & NEM have been stuck in a channel for the last year or so...

edit: NEM was in a channel... that is, until it broke down, now it is in a downward channel & possibly re-establishing the old channel from November 2003

Gold markets are probably the smallest trading market in the world from a capitalation point of veiw. It is very influenced by outside sources, like dollar, oil, the COT traders, central bank gold quota, and God forbid if China even thinks about dollar diverification, FED MINUTES, inflation, the list just goes and goes... standard TA applies but so do curve balls... imo

hmmm... looks like I was correct in my analysis:) for now<gulp>

Lets take a look @ Silver --> just reading off the indicators

IMO the chart suggests that Silver has some significant resistance to chew through at $13.25. The Macd is starting to roll over, again like GOLD, & the ADX is at a low level suggesting a non-trending market, so if that is the case then watch oscillating indictors such as slow stochastics which have turned down from overbought levels.

IMO this Silver chart looks a little bit better than GOLD. I would be a seller here if the 5 day crosses below the 21 day & with confirmation by the +dmi crossing under the -dmi.

My best guess is a sideways market for at least a short period of time

All FWIW only...
