Churches might no longer do "most" social work but they still do a lot of it.

I don't think that's the only justification for the lack of taxes, but it is one that is still important, and based on current reality, not just the past.

I think people in positions of authority should be held to higher standards rather than lower standards.

Good general idea, but I think its a stretch to use it to apply a death penalty to priests (or teachers, or politicians, or anyone with a position of authority) where a lesser (probably much lesser) penalty would apply to most perps.

As for a minimal or non forced example of Sexual contact, I think that adults should leave underage children alone.

I do too, but I don't think a 20 year old should be executed for making out with a 15 year old. I'm not sure that I would support the death penalty even for more serious cases, but I can understand the argument behind the death penalty in much more severe cases.

At the time, it would have been the right thing to do. But society isn't that far along yet.

Thank you for clearing up your opinion.

I don't think its a matter of society being "far along". I think any such attempt to force association would be negative, even abusive, rather than a good thing.
