As covered on Air America today. Murtha has two areas of ethical problems with lobbying for defense appropriations.

Vote for the other guy.

Murtha sounds too much like a Republican on this issue. If there's real meat to the story, Dems should order an investigation into one of their own and soon.

Pelosi is also going to appoint Alcee Hastings of Florida, impeached while a federal judge (by a Democratic Congress) in 1989, to head the House Intelligence Committee over ranking member Jane Harman of California, who is a centrist on national security issues. Apparently Harman is too moderate for Pelosi. (Plus she's Jewish. Another "Zionist" like Lieberman.)
