There are always religious fanatics, and it is easy to brainwash someone with a feeling of being abused, to make him into some kind of religious fanatic. Otoh, no one in North America is willing to wean themselves off oil, I am driving less than ever before, I have cut down to less than 1000 miles a year and since I have an oil furnace, I am going to replace it in the spring. Until we realise that North Americans pay for every missile and every bomb, they are going to be supplied. Legalising drugs would take the other spoke out of the Muslim wheel, or a huge effort to make drug rehab as available to everyone else as it is to Movie stars and politicians.
